Dutch photographer Anton Corbijn started out working for dutch music magazine Oor. After a long career, working closely with huge acts like Depeche Mode and U2, he has reached some of that superstardom himself. Corbijn is a talented director as well, working on music videos for bands like Nirvana, Metallica, The Killers, Coldplay and many more. Lately he seems to be focusing a bit more on movies, with the release of Control (2007) and The American (2010). What I admire most in his photographic work is his ability to lift an ordinary image into something iconic.
